Meet Our Staff

Pastor Nina Patton-Semerod

Pastor Nina has had the privilege of being the pastor here at Epworth United Methodist Church since July of 2019 as an ordained elder in the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference of the United Methodist Church. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Moravian College in 2011 and Master of Divinity degree from Drew Theological Seminary in 2014. 

Music Director: Julie Wydrzynski

Julie Wydrzynski, (formerly Julie Skrapits), holds a Bachelor of Music degree with a concentration in Piano as well as a Master in Music Performance and Choral Conducting from West Chester University. In addition to her work at Epworth, Julie is currently the Choral and Theatre Director at Liberty High School. Her high energy and passion motivate her students as well as adult musicians to achieve the highest level of musicianship, all while having fun in the process.

Julie has directed choirs and musical groups of all ages for thirteen years. Her goal for Epworth is to move the music ministry into a place where many people in the congregation feel comfortable participating. She is working to provide multiple musical opportunities including a choir, a bell choir, solo performances, and children’s choir into the regular rotation in our worship service.

A mix of both contemporary and traditional styles of music is selected for our performing ensembles as well as for each worship service. Epworth families are encouraged to join in the fun and be part of our music team as we lift a joyful noise together!

Local Licensed Pastor: Pastor Donald Moore

Pastor Don is a Local Licensed Pastor of the United Methodist Church and is fully endorsed as a Chaplain.  Pastor Don calling is in prison ministry where he serves as a spiritual advisor at 5 correctional facilities across 4 counties.  At these facilities, he presents bible studies, conducts non-denominational worship service and hears re-affirmations of faith.  As a Vietnam veteran,

Don specializes in counseling and advising incarcerated veterans. Degrees from Albright, Lehigh and Northampton.  He retired from teaching and private practice to enter the ministry.  Don is also a member of the Yoke-Fellowship Prison Ministry organization and serves as it’s Chaplain for the North East conference.

Church Secretary: Linda Shafer

Nursery Attendant: Kaitlin Pearson

Kaitlin is a graduate of Liberty High School, class of 2023. She will be attending Moravian University beginning Fall 2023 pursuing a degree in psychology in her aspirations to become a criminal psychologist.

Kaitlin will be working at Pocono Plateau as a lifeguard for summer 2023. In her free time she can be found reading a good book or listening to music.
